Sail training & Learn to sail
Sailing is a relatively cheap sport to take up and you don't need any special equipment to get started just comfy clothes, soft soled shoes and a sense of adventure! We will be releasing details of our "Pathway" sessions to give those with little or no sailing experience an opportunity to get out on the water with experienced club members and learn more about the sport and the club as a whole. The pathway will start with a number of free "Taster" sessions, available to those interested in applying for membership. The sessions are expected to start in mid May 2021 and will be bookable via the Calendar on the website.
You can sign up to receive updates on the Taster sessions, or our weekly Newsletter, "Good News Friday". Please click "login" in the top right corner to create an account and signup to the mailings you would like to receive in "Mailing lists" on the menu on the right. You can manage your mailing preferences by logging back in or through the unsubscribe link at the bottom of a mailing. If you would like any specific information in the meantime please use the "Contact us" or email membership secretary.
South Staffs Sailing Club is an RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Approved Training Centre and we plan to continue to offer formal courses, including RYA Levels 1 & 2 according to demand and when regulations allow.
