Y&J Training & Recreational Sailing

13th June 2021, 14:30 - 16:00

Welcome to Youth & Junior Training. Please read all of the following information and book your equipment and session below.

The rule of 6 people or 2 households mixing outside applies to all activities except when sailing on the water in a club organised race, club organised social sailing, or club training. There is no exemption to the rule of 6 or 2 households for any onshore activities including rigging your boat, launching, or landing when you get to the jetty, groups are not to mix.

No spectators are allowed for any sport. This means you cannot come to watch sailing from any of our club premises, including the front of the clubhouse, boat park and car park. The only exception for non-sailors is members attending to carry out duties or a single parent who needs to attend to assist a youth or junior member prepare to sail, or a carer to help a disabled sailor. If you want to come in a non-sailing capacity, you can take your permitted exercise around the lake but must not wait on club premises except when sat in your car.

Members must come ready to sail as there will be no changing facilities open. Please bring your own refreshments as the galley will be closed. The bar will be open currently for table service only.

Members attending the club must book in advance using the website portal. It is a requirement of test and trace that we hold your details for a minimum of 21 days and tell Public Health England or NHS Test and Trace if required. If someone does test positive after attending sailing then any wider contact with other members will be done by Test and Trace or Public Health and not by the club.

Please make your own assessment about the risks of attending this session and by attending this session you are accepting that, whilst the club has put measures in place, some risk still exists. Please do not attend the session if you or anyone in your household has coronavirus symptoms.
