Wednesday SUP & Sail » Recreational sailing (inc boat hire) Cancelled

7th July 2021, 19:00 - 20:30
867763 1024xdne

Wednesday Night is now the club SUP & Sail night!. All members are welcome, whether it's to hone your race craft, get back some confidence on the water or just to have a relaxed bimble about the pond please come down and get involved. Sessions can only take place with volunteers to provide safety boat cover and use of Junior boats requires a Quartermaster and qualified Sailing Supervisor to make an assessment on conditions.

If you can help, please volunteer by logging in and booking the appropriate ticket or you can email scm.admin@southstaffssailingclub.co.uk (please note that these do not count towards duty allocations).

If you are attending to sail/SUP you need to book for test and trace purposes, you can either:

1) Book the "SUP/SAIL - Own craft" ticket

OR

2) Book an Adult Hire boat or Junior boat-

You DO NOT need to book multiple tickets provided everyone attending with you is booked in some way whether for a boat or volunteer ticket.

Y&J Parents please note this is NOT an instructor led session.

COVID

Please make sure you are up-to-date on the latest Covid guidance, whilst restrictions are easing there are still limits on numbers allowed particularly inside club premises. Whilst changing facilities are opening it is still recommended that you come dressed for sailing and shower at home. If you do use changing/toilet facilities please clean down surfaces afterwards. Please make your own assessment about the risks of attending this session and by attending this session you are accepting that, whilst the club has put measures in place, some risk still exists.

Please make a conservative judgement about conditions on the day to avoid unnecessary need for rescue and the need for close contact with safety crew, if in doubt please ask for advice.

Please do not attend the session if you or anyone in your household has coronavirus symptoms or have been instructed to self isolate.
