COVID-19 Update

Published 18:54 on 30 Dec 2020
The Covid Committee met on 16 December 2020 and planned for the possibility of the club moving in to Tier 4.
As a result of the move to Tier 4 on 31 December all sailing at the club will stop with immediate effect.
Tier 4 allows for individuals to sail socially for exercise but stops all racing and organised events. If we return to tier 3 or below we will look to resume racing as soon as possible.
We hope that by the spring the vaccines will mean that tiers and similar restrictions will be significantly reduced and we can return to normal. If there are still severe restrictions on racing, but social sailing is allowed, we will seek to facilitate sailing for exercise when warmer weather makes it worthwhile.
The Covid Committee will meet again on 14 January 2021 when the Government next reviews the tier levels to consider any changes.
