Optimist Fleet
Once again this year the Optimist class has been extremely sucessful.
Sarah Norbury has been selected for the National Junior Squad and is currently first girl in the national rankings. She has also represented the club at the Optimist Nationals and in Japan with the British team.
Megan Hicklin, Will Hawkins and Tom Howarth have been selected for the West Zone Squad.
Congratulations to all four sailors, we are all really proud of you !
The Optimist is an ideal boat for Juniors up to the age of 15. It offers safe and straightforward sailing for beginners but also provides technically challenging racing for the more experienced.
The club owns 4 starter Optimists and there is a whole fleet of privately owned boats at the club.
