Push the Boat Out and RNLI Weekend Success

Pushed the Boat Out last Saturday was an amazing success and the weather was kind to us as well. Over 60 visitors came to the club and over 100 people went on the water through the day. As well as members giving visitors a taster sail, the juniors took part in Wacky Races throughout the day. The good weather meant that sitting outside the club house was an ideal place to chat and sample the snacks produced by the galley, and enjoy the bar. The evening BBQ and auction in support of the RNLI were both a great success, and the club’s resident auctioneer made sure that everyone dug deep in their pockets in support of such a worthy cause, a total of £1700 was raised. The Commodore expressed huge thanks to the members who helped to make the day such a great success, and those who provided (and bought) auction items.
